Project overview

The entrance to Devils Tower National Monument has a new traffic signal system that is the result of Delta Wye’s labors. Our installation included 4 new signal poles with mast arms, signals, and walk signs on the site. We worked alongside the contractor that was simultaneously rebuilding and paving the road as we built our signals. It was a challenge to work all summer long at the entrance to a busy tourist attraction dealing with live traffic daily. We were faced with hard soils, rocky ground, and drainage pipes underground while installing our infrastructure. We had a very sharp leader with Kate Hendrickson on the project handling the job, the schedule, the equipment and the crews. We worked in all weather conditions Wyoming typically dishes out and met the timeline of the project safely and properly to satisfy WYDOT standards.
